The discussion regarding fear is so interesting because fear is so powerful. However, when the sheep began asking questions and noticed that the capture of sheep happened intermittently then the story became interesting. In professional jargon, we might call it analysis. As they searched through their experiences for understanding, they seemed to see reality in new ways.

At that point, they took advantage of natural talents already residing in the group. How often we have the nature talents and the answers if only we ask the right questions.

However, this book also reminded me that we need to be ever vigilant. '"It feels good to know that we'll never have to go through anything like that ever again." But, maybe they would.' We need to be continuously learning organizations.

This seems like a particularly tough lesson.

Best, Darlene Van Tiem

It is indeed a hard lesson. I'm wondering if this is because many organizations spend their time in current reality and forget to look outside themselves and to the future. So when times are good, it is as if times have always been and will always be good. And when times are turbulent, it is as if the disruptions are not part of the system, so they come as a complete surprise. Which throws people into chaos and confusion.
